Kangertech Subtank Plus
Hello vapers, and welcome back to VapeVista.Com !
So, already the proud owner of the Original Subtank, I got the Subtank Plus among rumors it had a better airflow and some improved designs.
Well, it certainly does !
So, let’s run down what the Subtank Plus has to offer, and it’s upgrades from the Original Subtank design…
Here’s a little write-up from Kangertech:
So, as you can see (if you CAN see, the ad is pretty dark, sorry), it’s got the same ability to change your factory made coil for the RBA deck, which I personally use. I find it has more flavor and better performance than the factory-made coils.
Unlike the original Subtank, this will hold 7.5ml of fluid with either the factory-made coils or the RBA deck. There’s no switchable airstem necessary.
So, out of the box their RBA deck was popping and had way too hot of a vapor. Changing the coil cured that, they had it positioned wrong.
The Subtank Plus also has a finger grip on the chimeny top, which is a great improvement on the Subtank, with which I had trouble removing.
The Plus also has a solid fixed connection pin, a vast improvement over the spring loaded pin of the original.
Missing from the box is the adapter/reducer ring that came with the original Subtank which brought the 25mm tank down to 22mm, which fits most mods. Would’ve really liked the adapter ring with plus also. In it’s place is a spare glass piece for the tank, and a set of 4 spare black o-rings. The Plus comes with an 0.5 ohm factory-made coil and an 0.5 RBA deck.
The RBA deck on the Plus IS even smaller than on the original Sub. Not a problem for me surprisingly, as I’m normally not good with small things. However the design of it lends to fairly easy replacement of the coil. I personally am using only one coil, but it comes with two (dual coil system) from the factory, and, it is possible to put two on there.
The airflow has been improved, The airflow valve now has 2 sides, each witih equal air holes. It’s got a wide slot as the main open setting, and two other holes for reduced airflow. This results in a much greater airflow, of course.
So far my goal has been to match or exceed the original subtank in performance, flavor, and cloud production. I’m almost there, with a little more tweaking to do, I’m almost there to where the tanks are equally satisfying. Takes a while to get used to things, and to find their optimum arrangements.
Here’s a pic of my current daily drivers:
So !
All in all I’m really happy with the upgrades, and enjoying my Subtank Plus !
I highly recommend the Plus, and you can use your original Subtank’s adapter to make it a nice fit on any 22mm mod.
(the kit actually includes only 2 coils, both 0.5)
That’s that for the Subtank Plus! Thanks for reading !
