Arizer has come out with a new version of their portable vape series, the Air SE.

This one has a much lower price point than any of their previously released portable vapes, almost $100 USD cheaper !

It’s got the same award-winning performance as the other Airs.

We’ve seen the Air line go thru its changes, beginning with the original Air.

Then after that original Air, came the Air 2. I have one of those as well, never did a review on it, mainly because I got mine so much later than its release, I felt like it had been too long to review. In hindsight, I should have reviewed the Air 2.

After the Air 2, came the Air MAX. It is basically the same as the Air 2, but with improvements to the heater and also boasting a 26650 type battery, for much longer battery life (compared to the 18650 type in the Air 2).

Now comes the Air SE, the ‘budget’ version of the Air line.

Instead of a temperature readout, it has color levels indicating temp. I’ll explain that in a moment.

This little powerhouse really delivers ! Good amount of nice vapor. Easy to use. A great vape !

When you power on your Air SE  by holding down the up/down button completely, that is, pressing it in the middle, you will see a color display indicating battery level.

The readout is explained here:

Green —- %100

White —- %70

Orange — %40

Red —– %10

That is showing you your battery power level.

Then, press the button again to start your vape session, and select your desired temperature. I normally use green, 200 C / 392 F.

The temperature colors are as follows….

Blue —— 180 C / 356 F

White —- 190 C / 374 F

Green —- 200 C / 392 F  (My favorite)

Orange  — 205 C / 401 F

Red  —–  210 C / 410 F

Those temps are well enough where you want them to be. Pretty accurate, also.

Use and performance

Load your herbs into the glass tube. I personally do not use a screen, the tube has a glass screen built-in.

You will need to GRIND your herbs first, with a decent grinder.

Then, gently load the tube, Do not pack down hard. Remember, air has to pass through the herbs, so keep it light and fluffy.

Fill the glass tube completely.

The tube will insert easier once the device is fully heated.

Before your 1st vape, I recommend you run the SE on the highest temp (red) for a full cycle. This will burn-off any possible reside from manufacturing.

Then, after selecting your temp level, the blue light will flash until the device has reached proper temp. Do not use the device until the blue light stops flashing.

The Air SE has an automatic shutoff, so after a time it will shut itself off, to save on battery life.

The Air SE performs just as well as the Air 2 or Air MAX, delivering nice vapor at a reduced cost.

It takes an 18650 battery, which will need to be replaced after about 1-2 years of normal use.

Simply press on the top of the back door, remove the cover, and exchange batteries. Easy.

I DO recommend a battery with more life. I use a 3500 mAh battery (18650 type), with a 5-8 amp output limit. That’s fine enough for the SE.

The SE comes with a warranty, and the folks at Arizer are great about replacements and repairs !
